Discover and manipulate synaptic transmission and plasticity in the brain
A Postdoctoral fellow position is available at Yale University to discover and manipulate machinery for synaptic transmission to control animal behaviors. The main objective of the research in my laboratory is to discover and manipulate molecular rules governing excitatory/inhibitory synaptic transmission for regulating animal behaviors. Current projects are focused on (1) searching for novel molecular constituents of neurotransmitter receptors to determine localization or activity of neurotransmitter receptors in vivo, (2) revealing functional modulators necessary and sufficient for controlling synaptic transmission, (3) designing molecules for manipulating synaptic transmission in vivo on-demand to control animal behavior. Please refer details of our research to our recent publications. Diverse techniques including molecular, biochemistry, electrophysiology, cell biology, gene targeting mice and behavioral analysis are available in our lab.
