The 2024 FAOBMB Award for Research Excellence Call for Nominations Nomination Deadline: 15 March 2024 (1700 hrs GMT+8)
Dear Council Member delegates,
I am pleased to inform you that the call for nominations for the FAOBMB Award for Research Excellence 2024 is now open. Starting in 2011, the FAOBMB Award for Research Excellence is awarded annually to a distinguished biochemist or molecular biologist, based on work carried out predominantly within the FAOBMB region. The work should reflect excellence of scientific contributions to the field and sustained research productivity.
ABOUT THE FAOBMB Award for Research Excellence 2024 Nominees must be members of one of the FAOBMB constituent Societies or Groups with at least two years of continuous membership immediately prior to the nomination. The award winner will receive the award and citation from the FAOBMB President and present his or her work as the FAOBMB Research Excellence Award Lecture in a plenary session at the 26th IUBMB/17th FAOBMB Congress to be held in Melbourne, Australia during 22 – 26 September 2024. The award winner will receive complimentary registration for the FAOBMB Congress as well as receiving an award and an honorarium of USD3000 provided by FAOBMB and sponsors. A travel / accommodation allowance of up to USD2000 will also be provided.

To this purpose, the 2024 Nomination Form together with the Guidelines are enclosed, which provide useful information on the FAOBMB Award for Research Excellence 2024. The deadline to receive complete applications for 2024 is 15 March 2024. The FAOBMB award winners will be notified at least 4 months before the Congress.
